Specific Injectables

Botox

Botox blocks certain chemical signals from nerve endings that cause muscle fibers to contract. Blocking this signal can help reduce wrinkles and create a smooth appearance. When professionally injected, Botox relaxes facial muscles so that they do not contract or tense when making facial expressions. The effects of Botox injections typically last between 3-4 months.

Xeomin

Like Botox, Xeomin temporarily freezes the nerves that trigger facial muscle contractions and helps reduce wrinkles, lines, and folds. Xeomin’sactive ingredient is botulinum toxin type A. It blocks the communication signals between the muscles and nerves. This prevents the targeted muscles from contracting and allows the wrinkles associated with the muscles to relax and soften.

Juvederm

Juvederm is an FDA-approved injectable dermal filler used to correct facial wrinkles, volume loss, and asymmetries. It comprises hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body that binds with water to create volume. Juvederm works by adding fullness to the areas underneath skin folds and creases and in turn, helps soften the appearance of wrinkles.

Jeuveau

Jeuveau is an injectable treatment chemically similar to Botox. It works by temporarily relaxing the muscles underneath the skin which reduced or eliminates wrinkles and improves facial contours. Treatments typically involve a series of tiny injections directly into the skin. Jeuveau, often called Newtox, can be less expensive when compared to Botox.

Radiesse

Radiesse is a dermal calcium hydroxylapatite filler that restores the face’s volume and structure by filling in wrinkles and lines. As it works, it stimulates the collagen beneath the skin, which then smooths lines and plumps the face. It works immediately, lasts up to two years, and most often injected in areas around the mouth and nose as well as any areas that have a loss in volume.

Restylane

Restylane is an FDA-approved filler that consists of hyaluronic acid that helps fill deep wrinkles and creases and improves the elasticity and hydration of the skin. It adds fullness to the face by adding volume underneath the skin where you’ve lost collagen.  It acts like your body’s own hyaluronic acid and breaks down naturally like it as well. The results are temporary and last about six to twelve months.

RHA Fillers

The RHA formulation (Resilient Hyaluronic Acid) is made up of hyaluronic acid which works to increase volume, smooth lines, reduce facial discomfort, and improve hydration. It’s typically soft and gel-like when injected and lasts 6-12 months at a time. When injected, it’s infused with lidocaine to lessen any pain or discomfort. RHA fillers include RHA 2, RHA 3, and RHA 4.

Sculptra

Sculptra works through a series of injections containing poly-L-lactic acid, which stimulates the body’s collagen production and helps naturally restore volume in the face. It also works to treat and smooth deeper facial wrinkles. Generally, three treatment sessions spaced over five weeks apart are recommended for optimal results. The results can last up to two years.

Kybella

Kybella consists of deoxycholic acid and administered as a series of injections to the affected area under the chin. It reduces the number of fat cells in the affected area and improves the appearance and profile of moderate to severe fat underneath the chin (also known as a “double chin”).  The result is less fat underneath the chin, a slimmer profile, and a more defined jawline.

PRP Therapy

Platelet-Rich Plasma therapy uses your body’s natural healing components to hep rejuvenate the skin. At iGlow, we use PRP with the Micropen, a microneedling treatment that creates small wounds in the skin. The PRP is then applied and is absorbed into the deep layers of the skin to promote collagen production and healing.
