What are Dermal Fillers?

What to Expect During Treatment
To begin treatment, Nurse Nataly will examine the areas of the face to be augmented. She may mark specific areas of your face as injection sites for the filler. The treatment area will then be cleansed, and a topical numbing cream may be offered to ensure your comfort. The dermal filler will then be injected using a small needle. Depending on the number of treatment areas, this process may take between 15 minutes and one hour.
Dermal Filler Aftercare
There is no downtime required following dermal filler injections, which means you can feel free to return to your daily activities. However, the area may be tender and swollen for a day or two, which can be reduced with the use of an ice pack wrapped in a towel or cloth (do not place ice directly on the treated area). We recommend that patients avoid intense exercise for the first 2448 hours after treatment for the best results.
