What are Neuromodulators?
Neuromodulator treatments such as Botox are injectables that work beneath the surface of the skin to temporarily smooth dynamic lines and wrinkles. Dynamic lines are those which are caused by repeated facial movement, such as furrowing your brow. Neuromodulators work by temporarily reducing muscle activity that results in these lines for smoother skin and an overall rejuvenated appearance.

What to Expect During Treatment
During your appointment, Nurse Nataly will begin by assessing your facial anatomy and marking the spots to be injected with the neuromodulator of your choice. A topical numbing cream may be offered, though most people do not require it as treatment is not painful. The neuromodulator will then be injected using a small needle into specific muscles. The total number of injections needed will vary depending on your own personal aesthetic goals. Treatment usually takes less than 15 minutes to complete.
Neuromodulator Aftercare
There is no downtime needed following neuromodulator injections, so you can resume your normal activities as soon as you wish. It is advised that you avoid rubbing the treatment areas, as this may cause the neuromodulator to migrate to other areas of the face. Neuromodulators such as Botox often last 3-4 months before repeated treatment is needed to maintain results.

Neuromodulator FAQ
Neuromodulators are products used to relax overactive muscles. Neuromodulators are most commonly injected around the eyes, brow, forehead, glabella, and neck, in order to soften existing wrinkles (by weakening the muscle that create the lines) and prevent future wrinkles from forming
While results may vary between each patient, typically the Neuromodulators begin working within a few days following treatment, however their full effect doesn’t occur until about 7-10 days post procedure. It is important to be patient until the full results of the neuromodulator reveal themselves.*
Generally, Botox/Dysport/Xeomin takes about 7-10 days for the full effects to take show, and last between 3-4 months.¹
