MircoPen and PRP

Micropen

Micropen and PRP are two treatments used in conjunction to regenerate and rebuild your skin. The Micropen is a handheld device that holds 12 sterile needle cartridges. This technique is called “microneedling.” Microneedling creates pinpoint micro-injury wounds. The skin responds by creating new elastin and collagen.

It is a safe, heat-free treatment that is successfully used on all skin types and colors.

The Micropen treats:

-Acne Scarring and Post-Acne Marks
-Trauma/Surgical/Stretch Scars
-Melasma and Hyperpigmentation
-Enlarged pores
-Fine lines and wrinkles
-Sluggish skin

PRP

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) is derived from your blood. Depending on the number of viles Nurse Nataly recommends for you, your blood is drawn, placed in a centrifuge and spins for several minutes. This devise separates your PRP from your red blood cells, which is a light yellow fluid. This yellow fluid, your PRP, is packed with your stem cells and growth factors. PRP is known as the ‘fountain of youth” because it gives your skin the building blocks to regenerate. Nurse Nataly uses this in conjunction with the Micropen so that your skin will not only heal faster, but your results are heightened to a more youthful, smooth, firm glow.

MicroPen and PRP FAQ

Collagen Induction Therapy with PRP, also known as MicroPen or MicroNeedling is a cosmetic procedure which offers a variety of anti aging benefits.
The combination of microneedling with PRP is more effective than microneedling alone or applying PRP alone. While both effective individually, it is the combination of the two treatments that provide a vital foundation necessary for maximum absorption, reduced healing time and optimal results.
Micro-Needling is used for treating the appearance of fine lines, acne scars and improvement of the skin’s overall appearance. During this procedure, tiny needles are used to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to produce collagen and elastin.
Unlike microneedling, which uses a special serum, you’re getting your own PRP re-injected into your face, minus Platelet-Poor Plasma (PPP). In short, a vampire facial uses your own cells to help promote new tissue growth and healthy skin, treating different skin conditions like: Fine lines and wrinkles.
Your results will last anywhere from three to five months, and many patients schedule follow-up treatments twice a year to maintain their results. Taking good care of your skin through a conscientious at-home beauty routine can help preserve your results.
How Often Should I Get Microneedling With PRP? Depending on your aesthetic goals, you may need between three and six sessions of microneedling with PRP. We strongly advise our clients to schedule these sessions four weeks apart.
With PRP, you may reap the benefits of tighter, smoother skin even faster than with microneedling alone. Since your skin is full of tiny puncture wounds immediately following a treatment, it’s the optimal time to apply PRP to your skin’s surface.
Immediately after your first appointment, you may look like you have a mild sunburn since your skin will still be noticeably flushed from the treatment process. This fades over the first 24-48 hours and, as your skin begins to heal, you will notice a new glow develop over several weeks.
